Beware of scam emails. This is a warning from fintech company FaBrika ads which operates the YesPojisteni.cz and InfoCizinci.cz websites.

Phishing scams often impersonate insurance brokers, bailiffs, or representatives of the General Health Insurance Company, the leader of the Czech public health insurance system. “The goal of scammers is always the same. They want your personal sensitive data, and they want your money,” says Marek Čihák from FaBrika ads. “The latest sophisticated scams involve, for example, alleged underpayments for car insurance or false report of overpayments for health insurance,” adds Marek Čihák.
These scam messages appear to be from a trusted source. However, it’s very important to pay attention to the address of incoming email. Mostly, it doesn’t make sense and the domain name can be without “cz” ending. “If you receive an email which you’re not quite sure about, then avoid clicking links, opening attachments, and providing your personal or bank data. Completely ignore such an email. In case you need to find out more about insurance payments, it’s very easy to contact the insurance company directly. The same applies to insurance brokers or to our co-workers,” closes Čihák.
